There are A LOT of people who already know who Sinéad Burke is. An Irish writer, activist, teacher and more, she is followed by tens of thousands of people on social media. She is an outspoken critic of the fashion and design industries, working with top brands to consider a diversity of bodies and experiences.
Some Americans might know her as the first little person to attend the Met Gala, which happened just this year. And, we’ve said it before, but SHE WAS CHOSEN BY MEGHAN MARKLE TO BE ON THE SEPTEMBER COVER OF FUCKING BRITISH VOGUE.
Ugh, we just can’t get over how cool and wonderful that is.
Basically, Sinéad is a badass and we are thrilled to be hosting her upcoming podcast, As Me with Sinéad. You’re going to get to hear a lot from her as she interviews Jamie Lee Curtis, Tig Notaro, DeRay Mckesson and many others this fall.
But a great place to start to get to know her better is her TED Talk from 2017, “Why design should include everyone.”
