Kulap Vilaysack, SuChin Pak

Kulap Vilaysack  00:10

Hey everyone, this is Kulap.

SuChin Pak

And I’m SuChin.

Kulap Vilaysack

And you’re listening to ADD TO CART.

SuChin Pak

And this week we are talking about Self-Care.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yes, our favorite ways to feel just a little bit better in these trying times.

SuChin Pak

Alright, Kulap. Why don’t you start? What is the first thing you’re adding to your cart for your self-care routine?

Kulap Vilaysack

Well look this might as well be called the Kulap Vilaysack episode because self-care is my mantra, is my mode, is my general state of being. And so to think of just two things is so hard for me. Let’s just talk about crystals. On my desk there is all the time probably 10.

SuChin Pak

And these are working crystals? They’re not just decorative crystals?

Kulap Vilaysack

Oh, honey, so adorable. You’re so cute. You’re so cute SuChin Pak. I love you so, so much.

SuChin Pak

Give me crystal 101, just like a few things that I can hang my hat on.

Kulap Vilaysack

I don’t want to sound condescending towards you. How do I do this? Oh, please,

SuChin Pak

Oh, please, I give you full permission to condescend. Because let me tell you, there may be a few people listening with my crystal ignorance that would love to know more about.

Kulap Vilaysack

Oh, no, no, absolutely, absolutely. I mean, essentially is each crystal have kind of traditional properties. And so this is like old medicine, if that makes sense. All elements have certain properties, right? And so each kind of have some attributes. So for instance, like you’ve got selenite’s.

SuChin Pak  02:12

Sure.

Kulap Vilaysack

And so selenite has a spiritual activation and evolution communication with spirit guide ones and also generally are used to purify your other crystals. I’m gonna tell you that. I don’t know if I actually want to talk to you about this, because you’re like, really? I’m gonna be honest, I’m gonna shut down. Like, Oh, my God.

SuChin Pak

You have an intense, oh, my goodness, this crystal thing. I listen. Obviously, I can’t know everything about crystals in this one city. But I have to have a whole separate session with you offline. About crystallin. Like, am I missing this? Like, Is this why I’m sluggish in the afternoon? Like what? You know, like, is this going to clear my I don’t, I’m making things up dinner naming because I know so little about the world of crystals. But you’ve done like this is, you’ve done a deep dive. This is like a commitment.

Kulap Vilaysack

Well, it’s sort of like, you know, as all things a lifestyle, I’ve brought this up before. I to be honest, I don’t know. Like, I almost wonder if it’s even if we’re gonna even get anywhere because I don’t know if their for you. And I kind of don’t want to be in a position to have to convince you either, because I’m not interested in doing that as well. But I guess I could just tell you what they do for me. Maybe that’s the way to go?

SuChin Pak

I want to know, like what it does for you like what, you know, like, how, how does it serve you that moment that you went from like, Oh, this is like a passing interest to like, Whoa, like, this is something that feels. Do you know what I mean? Like any? And because you’re right. We don’t have time to obviously give a crystal, you know, lesson, but it could just be that so I can understand like, you know what I mean? I want to take it seriously. I don’t want this to be like, you know?

Kulap Vilaysack  04:12

Okay. So like, it’s interesting, because it’s so much a part of my life. And it’s not liked a big deal for me, because I’ve just been working with crystals for a while now and been really doing self-care, self-help. I’ve been on a wellness train for about a decade now. Which is means to me doing a myriad of healing modalities on top of talk therapy, there is a question of what have I not done versus what I have yet to do. And so crystals, I think it’s something that I get a lot from, and working with them kind of means holding on to them and essentially meditating with them and hoping to somehow use those properties to kind of meet you know, probably, feel better, clear stuff out, attract some sort of energy, but like, you know, if not clear yet full disclosure, I tend to be more of a believer than a not. If that makes sense.

SuChin Pak

That totally makes sense. And it’s really interesting this conversation because I think we do a lot of like, you know, we were really good at sort of, like laughing at each other and, and making light of things. So like, it is interesting when you say that you’re a believer that like, is really, that’s such a like, big part of who you also are, do you know what I mean? Like, I think that sometimes we can, you know, get caught in like one way of talking or one way of expressing but you are truly, because there’s such a like, with all the jokes and the laughter “blah, blah”, there’s, that’s why it’s so fascinating to do this with you, because you have this whole other side, that is truly a believer, like a believer in whether it’s crystals or energy, and I mean energy in the biggest broadest sense, because that’s, I think you, and I believe, to a certain degree, I do too, like, a lot of the decisions that we make in our lives. And correct me if I’m wrong, is just like a feeling. And that feeling we trust, that feeling and intuition, all of that, you know?

Kulap Vilaysack

It’s also everything that you know, things that we sort of objects that we imbue any type of power. So let’s say it’s this rose quartz, or let’s say, it’s, you know, this pen. If I feel and I look at this pen, I give it power. And I, you know, I meditate on it, and I focus my energy on it, it will help me. So now if I swap it with something like selenite, which is another object, and it hopefully has traditional, you know, properties that might help my intention. And then I feel that even just psychosomatic, like, feel like it will give me more. And then, you know, hey. And so yeah, and a lot of ways that is the conversation of religion, it’s the conversation of politics, it’s the conversation of ADD TO CART and why we buy, what we buy, and what we imbue and what we give to these things. And so this is, you know, it’s old medicine. It’s old magic, it’s like back in the day stuff, which obviously of late is absolutely a self-care, self-help. It’s a multi-million-dollar industry. And in California is truly I would have to, and I think you’d agree the place to do all of the stuff.

SuChin Pak

For me, too. It’s when you when you explained it in that way of like substitute any object, it is the intention in which we bring our focus. And I believe that 100% like, it doesn’t matter what teas, I drink teas all day long, because there’s the intention there that every time I brew the pot, and I do the thing, it’s a ritual. And you and I have talked about rituals, like I’m a firm believer in rituals, like everything, almost everything that I do on a consistent daily basis, there’s a small ritual around it. That’s not even conscious, right? It’s just that focus of intention, I think is something that I never ever even thought about in my 20s or 30s.

Kulap Vilaysack  08:40

Oh, no, I mean, I was a 20s and 30s we’re.. Those were sometimes you know, and I definitely don’t, I don’t really get super nostalgic generally, because my life has gotten better every year, truly. Like I don’t wax poetic about high school. Like, I’m not like, I wish you know, you know, do I look at old photos and go man, I really wish that girl like who hates how she looks. saw her like I see her now. And stopped hating on her body and like, you know, and took up some more space. But I guess that’s what growing is.

SuChin Pak

When you say that I’m already like, kind of. I don’t know why I’m getting a little choked up because I think we’ve talked about this before. And I always wondered, like, I always joke that I have like, I’m just not a sentimental person. And I completely agree with you. I’ve never been one of those people that looks back and says that was better than what is now. And I think some of that, for me at least, is that I think if you’ve had like really intense traumatic childhoods or adolescence, you know, looking back is not like a fond thing.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:02

Yeah, thank you for sharing that.

SuChin Pak

By the way, like, just all started off with like this kind of super vulnerable moment that you were willing to dive into with crystals. And so I think it’s really nice that the energy is like completely shifted.

SuChin Pak

We’re gonna get back to laughing but like, yeah, it’s nice sometimes to know that, like, we’re not like, terrible, cynical, cold hearted when she’s at least for me, anyway.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yeah, it’s so weird. Because I’ve been hurt and abused. I’m not somebody who runs towards that. I definitely have like my red, you know, alerts, and my Spidey sense, that comes up for that stuff. But the things I retained from being loud in Southeast Asian cultures were more of an animus. You know, in terms of religion, there’s Buddhism, sure, but when you’re there, in Laos, everybody has like altars. And, you know, again, I’ve brought this up over and over, like, whether there’s a question about ghosts and spirits that does not exist in the region that my family is from, you know, like, there’s no question. And so, in many ways, it’s sort of me figuring out with the Christmas and with that everything is like, making you to just traditions to find ways, to bring forth my culture in ways that are good for me and my own, if that makes sense.

SuChin Pak

Yeah, totally makes sense.

Kulap Vilaysack

And to stave off darkness, simply. And if this Lemurian crystal, that sometimes I sleep with, you can make fun of that. And fear for Scott’s life, if that’ll help you then so be it. Me saying somehow.

SuChin Pak  12:01

Yeah, I mean, 100, listen, there’s could be so many darker things, when you’re sleeping with a crystal. I mean, like, should that be, you know, the way that we, like, yeah, soothe ourselves like, 100%. Like, we should all be so lucky.

Kulap Vilaysack

That’s the really the key there, you know, like, so much of what I do is to soothe myself. Okay, we’re gonna take a quick break. And we’ll be right back.

SuChin Pak

So, okay, so when I thought of think of self-care, and there are many things that I do, but one of the reasons I think we wanted to talk about it at this particular time during the year was, this particular time of the year can be a lot about giving and giving, and what are we doing for others, and we’re getting the house ready, and some of that stuff is happening and some of that stuff isn’t. But I just thought, like, what are the things that we are doing to take care of ourselves, right? During this time, and I kind of adopted this practice, and it’s not Korean. It’s actually a Japanese practice. But, you know, you can take it as it is, and it’s called, I don’t know if I’m pronouncing it right. But it’s called Ōsōji. And there’s the practice of in the last two weeks of December, Americans have a, you know, term, you know, of spring cleaning. This is like, end of the year cleaning. Right? And I think it’s a very Asian thing. You know, like, we talked about the spirits and the energy and really clearing all of that out. Let’s let 2020. Let’s open the window for 2020 to go on out, and usher in.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yes, let that’s loud, allowing a year is generally mid-April or early May. And it’s a new year, it’s in the springtime. And so it’s the water festival, and it’s all about doing exactly that is cleaning.

SuChin Pak  14:03

Exactly. The kids can be involved in this. And there’s so many different ways that we can incorporate this and really bring intention into it that it isn’t just like a normal like “alright and let’s put away the toys.” It’s really about like, no, let’s really clean and cleanse our living, you know, situation, let’s think about the stuff that we really want to hold on to the things that we want to donate the things that we want to, you know, trash and so that’s the practice that I’m excited. I have like a list of like all the rooms, all the different things. It’s like a master list and I’m slowly checking them off and I’m making sure and making sure that each room or whatever section of the room. Like to me at least the thing that feels good to me here is no stone left unturned.

SuChin Pak

That drawer that has all of your catch all things the you know what I mean the shoe been at, you know, that has things in there that nobody ever wears anywhere because we don’t even wear shoes, you know, in this type, all that stuff like leave no stone unturned and it’s a once a year, you do it you spend two weeks you’re very mindful about it. And I’m super excited. I’ve gone through just only two rooms. And it’s taken me two weeks to do that in little chunks. You know what I mean? But like, take out all the pots and pans, take out everything clean every single drawer, put them back, make sure there’s a lid that matches that. Do you know like, all of it.

Kulap Vilaysack

I love that.

SuChin Pak

This is your language. I know you love this.

Kulap Vilaysack

I love this so much.

SuChin Pak

I’m very excited about doing that. There are things that I do during this time maybe that I don’t always do you know. So, you know, this house is very obsessed with mold and keeping mold away. We do a whole mold spray. And I’ve got like a cleaning spray here that is very easy. And after you clean everything and you dust everything and you vacuum everything, then you spray everything down with this mold spray.

Kulap Vilaysack  16:08

And this the EC3 Mold Solution Spray?

SuChin Pak

That’s right, $21, And it’s completely nontoxic. It’s made with only you know, organic and natural ingredients, but it is super effective at getting rid of mold in your house. Another thing someone had given me a tip was, you know, you imagine like we have open drains in our bathroom, like in the shower, you know, and your hair gets caught in there and your stuff. Like imagine what that drain looks like on a day-to-day basis.

Kulap Vilaysack

So disgusting.

SuChin Pak

Yes. So you take baking soda and vinegar. This is an old trick, you know, nothing new here, pour that down and do the hot water do that. Because that clears out all the mold, the bacteria, everything, because all that stuff is sitting in your drain. And every time you shower, the heat and all the mist just kind of bring them up from your drain like we don’t have, we don’t close our shower drains. Especially when we take showers.

Kulap Vilaysack

So this is the better thing to do then what I was going to do, which is to pour it down, just to pour acid and lie down the drain. Don’t do that.

SuChin Pak

Baking soda and vinegar.

Kulap Vilaysack

I have that. I have that now.

Kulap Vilaysack

All right, this next segment is called WISH LIST. So for our Self-Care theme. These are the things we want to be part of our self-care routine. But having committed for reasons we’ll want 100% get into. SuChin, how about you start?

SuChin Pak

Well, yes, so I have been very interested and intrigued about this device called the Solo Way. And thanks to you, I often you know, when I’m just like bored, I will go on the FastAF app, just to even look at like what’s on their list, because it’s often curating it’s like really new stuff that they kind of put on there. And so I saw this brand Solo Way. And basically, it’s a skincare tool that has a red light. So it’s a microcurrent therapy and a red-light therapy. And so it just warms up, it vibrates. And you put it on your skin and..

Kulap Vilaysack  18:38

Just for your face?

SuChin Pak

I mean, what you do with it? That’s our business, you know?

SuChin Pak

Let us know, let us know in the comments. The Solo Way One. So you know, it helps with everything. You know, there’s so much research out there in terms of microcurrent and red-light therapy. This just seemed intriguing to me. The reason why I’m pausing because as you know, like, it’s so pretty. And does it work? Is it a scam? So I just have to do more digging and more research around it. But I really I’m a big believer in and we both love the you know, we both love this topic of skincare as just basically the easiest, best self-care stuff that I do for myself every day without fail, you know, and it doesn’t even matter if any of this is working or not like that’s not even what’s important. It’s just that I take the time every day to do this and it feels really good and it’s very relaxing for me and all of that and I think that’s important. So this is what I’m kind of considering.

Kulap Vilaysack

Just playing with.

Kulap Vilaysack  20:00

I’d love to know just quickly what gadget that you’ve stuck with? Face gadget?

SuChin Pak

The truth?

Kulap Vilaysack

Yeah.

SuChin Pak

None of them.

Kulap Vilaysack

None of them?

SuChin Pak

No, and I’ve tried the new face I’ve tried. I’ve tried almost every gadget. And I have to tell you I’m always on the on the hunt for what it is the only gadget and it’s not a gadget. Talk about is this Guasha Stone, Guasha all day, and it’s a stone. And with you know, and you don’t plug it in, is it Jade?

Kulap Vilaysack

Is it a Jadeite?

SuChin Pak

It’s Jade.

Kulap Vilaysack

Interesting, so it’s a crystal.

SuChin Pak

It’s a crystal. And by the way it sleeps right next to my bed every night. And I walk around with this thing, with this Guasha.

Kulap Vilaysack

We are the same, because this collection, I brought this bowl, this is beside my bed. Oh wow, what a turn.

SuChin Pak

You know what though, also with the crystals and the Guasha. And all of this stuff, they’re just also beautiful. And like..

Kulap Vilaysack

100%

SuChin Pak

Yeah, half of it is just looking at something and being like, that’s amazing, that comes from the earth in some shape or form.

Kulap Vilaysack

This is Pyrite.

SuChin Pak

Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack

And it’s honed into a globe.

SuChin Pak

Round.

Kulap Vilaysack

But if you look closer, the crystals are squares. And it’s a living stone and it continues to grow. That’s just beautiful. It’s the earth.

SuChin Pak

And it’s like you said we say magic only because we’re joking, but it’s not magic. It’s actually this thing that we all..

Kulap Vilaysack

Inhabit?

SuChin Pak

Swimming in and living in and inhabit, yeah. But anyway, so the solo way wand is something I’m thinking about. I don’t know if it’s this I’m going to buy but I’m curious about how red-light therapy works. And how red-light therapy could work at home. But to answer your question, I’ve tried all those. And I have to say like, it is interesting. I hadn’t thought about the fact that the thing that I use the most. You don’t plug it in. There’s no battery.

Kulap Vilaysack

It’s literally space station lowering on base from the earth.

SuChin Pak  22:23

Anyway, that’s so interesting.

Kulap Vilaysack

Well, this one, I guess I’m curious how you will react.

SuChin Pak

Okay, okay.

Kulap Vilaysack

I have four years now being very curious about Ayahuasca. And I what, do you know what it is? Do you know about this?

SuChin Pak

I mean, I mean, I know it just, you know from passing yet, right? Like it’s like, Is it a natural drug?

Kulap Vilaysack

And it is a sludgy tea that’s made by from the Ayahuasca vine. And it originates from Peru, I believe. It’s a jungle vine. It’s tribal medicine, and it has become all the rage. And so there are people doing Ayahuasca in LA right now. And by the way, there is there are a lot of tourism that is around this. So I would need to number one, find someplace safe, because there have been horror stories of people having bad reactions for whatever reason, and either being motorbikes to a hospital or if they didn’t make it in time, just put on the side of the road. So there are scary stories about that. But it would, I would want it to be that situation. But I don’t know if it will happen. Like I honestly, I’ve been interested in it, but I don’t know, all of the factors would have to be to my liking. And I’m not sure when that will be.

SuChin Pak  24:04

Well, I have a friend who does this very regularly. And he has the shaman, I think there are two people actually that come to his house. I was gonna say you can do it in the comfort of your own home. And you can invite whoever it is you want to share in that circle. Is that something, and Ayahuasca. Now talk, you may know more about it than I do. But there are there’s psychic spiritual healing processes that are involved. I mean, he says it’s like, it’s like basically condensing a lifetime of therapy in three hours. Like, I don’t know how it happens, but for whatever however it happens for him. He comes out, like fundamentally he says, transformed like fundamentally clear about his life about his issues. etc.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yes, absolutely about healing. People have different experiences. Some people they get they are trying to get off drugs. Some people are dealing with grief. Certainly trauma. And I think people’s experience can range from almost euphoria. But generally it’s very wretched and, and it’s like battling with yourself. But also you double dragon is what I hear.

SuChin Pak

What’s that?

Kulap Vilaysack

That means you there’s a chance that you will shit yourself and puke.

SuChin Pak

Is that what a double dragon is?

Kulap Vilaysack

Well, that’s you know, that’s the term I know it to be, sure it’s a video game. But what I call the double dragon is if you’re firing from both ends. Big part, big part why I have it done.

SuChin Pak

You’re a lady. You know what I mean, you is a lady.

Kulap Vilaysack

I don’t want to do either of those things in front of people. And to have to you know, like the others to people. Someone’s got to take some people to the toilet so they don’t get like lost in the jungle.

SuChin Pak

If you make it that hard.

Kulap Vilaysack

If you make it? That’s right.

SuChin Pak

You got to wipe it down if you don’t make it.

Kulap Vilaysack

There are buckets, there are buckets.

SuChin Pak

Yeah that’s a big…

Kulap Vilaysack

It’s a tough one., it’s a tough one.

SuChin Pak

That’s a tough one. The Double Dragon is a tough one to get ahold of, but also like..

Kulap Vilaysack

You were just one of them. Don’t you think? Tough?

SuChin Pak

Oh, I don’t even yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack

Maybe that’s metaphorical for us? Because it means like, we don’t want to let go.

SuChin Pak

Well, that’s interesting, because the other thing is I was like, but confront my demons and my trauma, but I’ve spent so many years not doing that for a reason. That also terrifies me.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yeah, I don’t think it’s something you just like casually do. You know, not like worked up to it, you know?

SuChin Pak  27:04

Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack

Let’s, let’s take a quick break. And we’ll be back to hopefully talk about more stuff.

Kulap Vilaysack

We are back on ADD TO CART. And this next segment is called SUBSCRIBE.

SuChin Pak

So these are basically things that we can’t live without. So, Kulap you go first.

Kulap Vilaysack

Oh, all right. Well, a surprise, surprise, I believe in astrology. And so mine is getting readings from the heart astrologer Heidi Rose Robbins. And I’ve worked with Heidi since I was 30. And around 30 is when I looked around and I said “hmm, I don’t like my life.” I don’t like where my career’s going. I don’t, I don’t have a lot of intimate relationships, except for Scott. I kind of make a change here. And so part of that change was in a big part was starting to go see Heidi Rose Robbins who I had been recommended to from other friends. And so she does readings. And she does what a natal chart, which is day time and the place that you were born. It’s sort of a snapshot of the heavens. And that’s the blueprint from what she works off. Right. And so everybody knows Sun Sign. So SuChin what’s your sun sign?

SuChin Pak  28:36

A Leo.

Kulap Vilaysack

You’re a Leo?

SuChin Pak

Yes.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yes, you are Leo.

Kulap Vilaysack

Do you know the time of your birth? A lot of people who are immigrants don’t know.

SuChin Pak

No. See, the thing is, is my mother would say afternoon and that’s so funny, because I was thinking in my mind. I’m like, but how do we really know that? I’ve never seen my birth certificate? Like she’s never seen my birth certificate.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yeah, that’s a tough one. Yeah, I was born in the US, right when my mom got here. So I have a birth certificate at the time of birth, but like a lot of family and friends. They were born in refugee camps in Thailand, the record keeping there, not so good. And they were thinking of other things at the time. So that time doesn’t remain in like this, their memory at all. But that time of when you were born will inform what your rising sign is or your ascendant. So that is the ascendant it’s an important sign. It’s your mission. It’s your calling. So I have a sun in Taurus. And I am a moon in Aries and my ascendant arising is a Gemini. So moon, sun, rising, past, present, future so that is the really like, broke ass version of what Heidi does or what astrology is. But every year since I was 30, I’ve gotten a reading from her, and usually around my birthday, and then also at the end of the year, and I’ve got one coming up, we have like a group kind of reading with a circle of friends.

SuChin Pak  30:27

And this reading, it gives you a better understanding of where you are and where you’re going. Like what happens after reading, like, what is the thing you know me that she’s tapping into that you’re, you know, collecting information about.

Kulap Vilaysack

There is an element of being predictive a little bit. But there is basically a star and planetary kind of like movements that she can speak to, what kind of sort of phase you’re in which kind of explain some good or some bad that’s happening to you. And in that conversation, you can talk about how to help the situation and sometimes like it can help you accept your situation. I remember when I was 30. And she was like, how would you feel if like, right now you’re planting seeds, you’re planting seeds, and you’re doing the work, but you will harvest it later and you’re going to harvest it in four years. She was kind of the first person that was like, speaking to me about like, you know, working behind the camera. And at the time, I was like, I hate hearing that. Because I wanted of course to be you know, the Asian Jennifer Aniston and cut to that not happening and, but also cut to.

SuChin Pak

So much more.

Kulap Vilaysack

So much more. And finding real fulfillment in developing creating and being a showrunner, more so than being an actor, by far. But these really it’s having conversations like that, and it’s talking about, I mean, will it go to she has a chart where it’s like, around this time in the state, this thing would be good for you. There are times to avoid negotiating or signing contracts. So it’s just another way that you know, Kulap finds ways to stay sane and also feel like I think as women and that maybe the heavens are looking out for you. Because on this earth, if you don’t have a tribe, you rarely get that message.

SuChin Pak  32:37

Yeah, as women, from immigrant families who, you know, it’s just in our, in our blood, in our DNA, in our identity in our everything, that that sense of belonging, and that search is just inherent to who we are. So that tribe is, you know, it’s a lifetime of searching and there’s meaning behind that. That’s just so, so deep.

Kulap Vilaysack

Yes. So I know all of my good friends, there signs. And what that does for me is it makes me realize that everyone has their own hand that they’re dealing with, that they’ve been dealt and that they’re dealing with. I used to always think that people thought like me, and I used to take a lot of things like very personally, and once I realized like, oh no everybody’s working with they’re like, on top of their histories, a top of their families. And you go oh, okay, so all right. Yeah, I’m way more compassion. It’s helped me with having more compassion.

SuChin Pak

Well, I am a little embarrassed because well, you couldn’t live without oh, I don’t know community tribe. A connection to the stars, the heavens and all that is.

Kulap Vilaysack  34:04

What do you have?

SuChin Pak

I can’t live without a toothbrush. And so anyway, to each her own.

Kulap Vilaysack

This toothbrush is the toothbrush of the stars. Let’s see what we have. This is the toothbrush you were talking about.

SuChin Pak

By the way, this toothbrush does look a little like you could write it into the heavens, it’s very space looking. But anyway, it is an aura. It’s terrible to follow up. You can’t live without with an Oral-B cross action all in one manual toothbrush in medium softness.

Kulap Vilaysack

I love it so much, SuChin.

SuChin Pak

So, I mean, thank God because otherwise we’d be in trouble. So this is about $8 for two and listen. Do I have you know bamboo bristles that then you can conceivably dig a hole on the ground and grow an acorn tree. Yes, I have that. At night, do such a serious clean with the Sonicare vibrating toothbrush which is the holy grail of toothbrushes. don’t talk to me about quip, don’t talk to me about other vibrating toothbrush. The Holy Grail of.. But, in the morning or maybe around lunchtime. You just want a quickie. And this is what you want. You want an Oral-B cross action all in one manual toothbrush.

Kulap Vilaysack

SuChin’s afternoon delight, just want a quickie.

SuChin Pak

Truly, after I brush with this thing. I am REA-DY-to-go Okay, D and D all the way lay down a tarp. What do you need me to do? So this was recommended by my husband’s dentist who is this beautiful, calm presence in our life. You know when you get to the mid-40s your teeth start falling out, literally, your teeth start you realize that you’ve taken teeth for you know granted. So anyway, so he recommended this and it has these sides silicone bristles that massage the gum line and, Kulap?

Kulap Vilaysack  36:37

It’s self-care.

SuChin Pak

It is self-care. It’s an amazing toothbrush.

Kulap Vilaysack

It’s a daily habit to honor yourself with. It’s not a toothbrush. Ney, Ney, it is a wand.

SuChin Pak

Alright everyone. That’s it for our SELF CARE Episode. I think we got into every single crevice. Spiritually, physically, emotionally. It’s cathartic.

Kulap Vilaysack
