My brother is a opioid user a Xanax user and Coke user. He snorts for his mode of getting high. He has OD several times in the last 15 months. I’ve been there for him every time to support him. He tells me what drugs he uses so when the next OD happens I can tell the paramedics & hospital staff what he is using- I don’t know the amounts but at least they have a starting point in what type of OD they’re dealing with.
So my question is at what point do I walk away? It’s scary getting the call over & over asking what is he on so I know his last time taking then with the last few it’s we’re working to get a pulse back & breathing. I know it will take years for recovery if that’s what he wants- I do not believe he wants to be sober. Do I walk away? Disassociate? Our mom is supporting him 100%. She gives him money knowing what it’s for. So I walk away from her too?
